HBO

Exactly one month after hijacked planes hit the twin towers, killing almost 3,000 people, a hastily revised episode of Friends aired on NBC.

Viewers tuning in to must-see TV that night watched as Chandler (Matthew Perry) and Monica (Courteney Cox) headed to their honeymoon destination, navigating the lines at a New York City airport and growing increasingly irked by the newly married couple in front of them who are being showered with perks, including first-class seats.
